Going Back In Time...

We started out our week with a Grade 3 trip to Upper Canada Village. The weather wasn't great but the rain held off for most of the day with only a short shower here and there. The children really seemed to enjoy it but were very tired after, several falling asleep on the bus ride back.

In Language this week, we looked at the "cr", "tr", and "br" sound in our shared reading of "Tratisse contre Brochin". We did several grammar activities with this week's sentence. In Writing, the students have been working on tales (les contes).

In Math we worked on fractions. We also began some activities on area and perimeter. The students also spent lots of time finishing up other unfinished math work.

In Science, the students began looking at air and water in soil. In Social Studies, the students finished the activities on First Nation contributions to pioneer life.
