The End is in Sight

We are almost there! It's been a bit crazy trying to finish up everything but we are getting there and I've started sending stuff home. This week in Language, we read a poem about fathers since this Sunday is Father's Day. We practised the gl/pl sounds in "Gloria" and "À la plage!". We've been finishing up any unfinished Language activities from our reading and writing centres.

In Math, we finished up multiplication and fractions. We spent lots of time going through stuff together on the Smartboard, on floor, desks, wherever they were most comfortable. Next week we will be finishing up with some probability activities. Spinners and dice are always a fun way to finish up Math at the end of the year.

In Social Studies and Visual Arts, we did some Father's Day activities. We learned about how Father's Day started. We also learned a bit about celebrating birthdays and wrote new lyrics to "Bonne fête"
Wednesday was Primary Play Day and luckily we had a nice day for it. The fire alarm right in the middle was a bit disruptive but we managed to finish the rest of the activities after the second nutrition break.

There are four days left since next Friday is a PA Day. Tuesday will be our class picnic. Please send litter free lunches, hats, sunscreen, and water bottles as we will be at the park from 1-3 pm (or in the class if it rains). On Thursday, students can bring a (small) favourite game - no electronics please. There are also no more hot lunches.

Have a great weekend everyone!
